A Day in Las Vegas ♡

Hi Weshy Wanderers how are we doing? So today's post is going to be all about how I would transition my look throughout a day in Las Vegas! I have yet to mention this on my blog but I will be writing a post about how in the summertime this year I will be jetting off to New York to start my 5 week tour around America! One of the most amazing places that I will visit whilst I am there will of course be Vegas! I mean a trip to the grand old USA would not be complete without a night in the dazzling strip of Vegas now would it? Unfortunately, I will only be there for one night but fear not as I have compiled a list of looks that would (in my eyes) benefit someone when they only have one day and night to enjoy the sights Vegas has to offer! So let's jump right in! :) For this post I have partnered up with Vegas.com and given you my ultimate list :) Why not check them and their hotels out over here - Las Vegas Hotels?

Now first off, let me just say I know I will never be able to fit in everything I would like to do in Vegas; like go to a show, have lunch out, do a tour(s), have dinner out, have a full on night out or even just visiting each different themed hotel, but once I am there I shall try to do most of it! So for the benefit of this post, let's say we're doing it all in the one go!

HOTELS

I have already booked my stay in Vegas in the Luxor Las Vegas hotel but don't let that stop you from staying in some of the most famous hotels such as; Caesars Palace or the Aria Resort and Casino!
DAY TIME

So you've woken up and you open your curtains to a breathtaking view of Las Vegas so what do we have planned? How about some shopping and some bus tours?

Whether you're more of a fashion fanatic or a sweet tooth, there is lots to offer in Vegas. The Wynn Esplanade ranges from Louis Vuitton to Ferrari! Whilst on the other hand, the huge M&M's World store is more than a delight to take a walk in!

So now that we have our destinations planned what are we wearing? Well considering the temperature in Vegas during the summertime is pretty hot I would go for something light and airy but that doesn't compromise my style in any way :) So I have two choices here, both are very laid back. Some brown gladiators with denim shorts and a cute flowery top or a super cute co-ord that stays within the flower theme! I'm not a huge heels person so would never be able to imagine walking around for hours in them!

TOURS

Now if you're thinking of taking in a little tour of the Vegas strip, why not try the Big Bus Tours they last 2 hours and you get to see Vegas on a double decker bus! Plus the price is pretty awesome, only $37! For this, I would probably get changed as I wouldn't want my outfit to get crumpled and it may be hot out, but the wind when driving along may cause a little shiver (I get cold very easily!). So for this I would pair shorts with a plain white top and a detailed kimono over it :)

LUNCH

Now for lunch, we definitely need to dress this up a little, I would take a lovely stroll to the Aria and indulge in some light Thai lunch at Lemongrass! The first outfit is very basic but is brightly refreshed with some pastel pink accessories whilst the second outfit is very full on girlie with the pastel skirt and cute flowery crop top! I would probably not dress it up with accessories as I feel the shoes, outfit and bag do all the talking!

SHOWS

A trip to Vegas would not be complete without taking in a show! So after out delicious Thai meal why not head on over to Luxor and witness the amazing Criss Angel! His show is only $71 and I'm sure it would be a guaranteed amazing spectacle! If that isn't your thing, then don't worry the amazing Britney Spears is also around at Axis Theatre over at Planet Hollywood doing her thing :) For this outfit I believe that comfort is important as shows do tend to go on for a while but then again this is Vegas so I'm sure a lot of styles would suit! Personally I would go with one of 2 choices; a cute crop top and skirt with some short heels and false lashes or some stunning culottes with a jewelled crop top!

DINNER

Now for the next major event of the night! Where to go for dinner? There are so many choices it would take over a year to be able to dine out everywhere! But here are my top 2; the Lago next to the Bellagio Fountains and  L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon over at MGM Grand. Why not ravish yourself with some delicious French cuisine whilst taking in your beautiful surroundings!

For such a wonderful evening out, the attire must of course suit the atmosphere and surroundings so for this I would style myself with some very similar pastel outfits that are embellished and simple yet really do stand out!

NIGHT OUT

Now that you have filled yourself up it's time to head home and get ready for the big ending to this wonderful day in Vegas! Time to hit the dance floor and get totally crazy with it! But where is best to go? Well I would definitely want to try out the Voodoo Rooftop at Rio Hotel and the amazing looking Foxtail Nightclub and the Pool at SLS Las Vegas Hotel!

Seeing as we are in Vegas, the outfit needs to be on point and completely gorgeous! So I would wear either something very revealing and tight in order to show off that tan and all that working out at the gym or something more demure (yet far more eye catching!!) such as this exquisite sequinned dress with two shades of colour paired with some enormous black platforms and a small clutch!

After all the excitement of the day, Vegas will be sure to leave you with a million more memories to forever hold on to :) As you may have noticed, this style transition from one to the next does include 6 outfit changes in total, but hey being in Las Vegas is as good a time as any to need that many changes! Enjoy what this amazing city has to offer and make the most of your time here! I hope you've enjoyed finding out how I would style myself during all these different activities!

Sudocrem Travel Size ♡

Hey there weshy wanderers! How are we all doing? Once again I have been absent from this blog but never fear I know when an entrance is due :) Today's post is going to be dedicated to a brilliant travel-size lifesaver!

Introducing:

Now of course Sudocrem is already a household name of its own right but what I wanted to point out about this little gem is the handy size and bottle that it comes in! This skin care cream is so gentle and soothing on your skin that it can be used as much as you want. It is a saviour in so many different ways such as helping spot prone skin (guilty!), flaky skin or irritated and dry areas such as the knees and elbows.  In fact I have many friends and family who even use this cream to soothe their sunburns! This brilliantly sized 30g tube means that its perfect to take anywhere with you or to pop in your handbag and the best thing is you don't even need to squeeze the contents out into a handy travel size tube as it's more than acceptable to take whilst travelling in the size it comes. It fits anywhere easily and that makes it perfect for on the go!

This Sudocrem product can also be used as a moisturiser, for spot treatment or as a face mask all you have to do is apply a thing layer over whatever area you are treating and leave it to sink in, then later reapplying another thin layer to that same area.

Review

I have previously stated that I do suffer from spot prone skin and luckily had had a brilliant outburst of spots when I received this product, making me the perfect person to test out the product! Before going to bed I applied a small layer to all of the affected area's on my face and let it work its magic overnight. When I woke up I went for a shower and woke up to three very reduced spots! The cream had managed to stop the spots from looking so sore and angry and had reduced the size of them which of course was a brilliant start to the morning! I would definitely recommend this product as it is handy for so many different things! Whether you have a rash, sunburn or spots this handy little tube will definitely do its job :)

World Meet Orlaith Barrett - my new baby cousin ♡

Hi there weshy wanderers so yesterday was the most amazing day of my life - 7th of April 2015 at 9.42am the world welcomed little Orlaith into the world! She is my new baby cousin and she is the most gorgeous little girl I have ever seen! Melbourne Memories ♡

Hi there weshy wanderers, so as you can probably tell I haven't don't any blog posts recently that were just on what I was thinking about at the time or on my opinion on things such as trends or hairstyles (you can check those posts out HERE and HERE). I haven't been taking a lot of care when it comes to my blog and that upsets me as I really have enjoyed my time blogging over the past year and I remember how when I first started I had made a promise to myself that I would write a blog post on whatever I wanted at least once a day! I did stay true to that for a little bit but as always I seem to have given up before really getting anywhere.. Which is a shame.

Anyhow for this post I thought I would reflect on my time in Melbourne when I was on a student exchange programme from July to December last year and would maybe bring a few questions to light that I have been receiving from fellow students who are looking to go away to Melbourne for a semester or two.

DIFFICULTIES OF LIVING ABROAD
So firstly I would like to state that although going on a student exchange or a study abroad programme is an amazing opportunity you do need to remember what it is that you may have just signed up for! For myself, I chose Australia - I literally couldn't have chosen a country that was further away from my beloved United Kingdom, however it was a dream of mine to not only visit Australia but to study there for a semester (i.e. four months). Living abroad can be difficult as you're living and learning to cope with a new environment, new people, new experiences, a new learning method and most importantly a totally new country. I didn't know anyone in Australia which made it feel like I was going to be completely alone for six months but honestly that couldn't have been further from the truth! I loved my time abroad and felt that I met so many new people that I was never alone. So if you do get the chance to go abroad please make sure you know what you're letting yourself in for and make sure you know how difficult it can be!

DEALING WITH UNIVERSITY ABROAD
Now RMIT felt like a very new and modern place compared to GCU for me. I say that mainly because their teaching methods are so laid back you feel like the tutor is literally your best friend! Their computers and laptops are all Apple Macintosh and you're even allowed to borrow them and take them home as long as you sign them out! It all felt very modern and different that's for sure. The University itself is absolutely gigantic and there are so many chill out area's that I feel like I could literally have spent all my time just chilling in the University and never going home. The University course itself was fairly easy to get to grips with and as a Media and Communications student I chose the following courses; Introduction to Advertising, Writing Media Texts and Journalism Rules and Ethics Regulations. I absolutely loved the options I chose and felt like their approach to teaching was far more physical. For instance for WMT we had to take cameras and camcorders and actually go out and film or photograph projects and for Journalism we got to visit the Parliament and go to the Judicial Court and saw actual criminals being sentenced (albeit only for crimes such as speeding, stealing merchandise and selling drugs).

HANDLING YOUR PERSONAL LIFE ABROAD
Now when it comes to your personal life things can get a little difficult.. I am a very 'to myself' kind of person and I knew it was going to be hard sharing a kitchen and a bathroom with someone else - luckily I ended up getting a brilliant roommate who I really enjoyed spending time with! You have to make sure you get some downtime and spend some quality time on yourself which I felt I achieved when we would both be on our own traveling journeys and we would get the flat for a few days to ourselves each! Also you can feel like you're getting in each others way when you're trying to cook and share a bathroom but just make sure you talk about it all first hand and make sure you have some ground rules set up that will definitely help you out in the long run!

Q&A
Q-How much money will I need in order to do everything I want to do in Australia?
A-I would say that you would need minimum £6,000 ($11,000) as I felt that's what I needed for travel, food, entertainment, rent and lifestyle buys.

Q-Were you receiving a student loan? What's the visa application process like?
A-Unfortunately I wasn't eligible for a loan but make sure you are by emailing SAAS or your country's student loan as you never know! The student visa application was extremely easy and was all done online in under and hour!

Q-Does RMIT University have a student accommodation?
A-No, RMIT doesn't have a student accommodation like GCU does but it does have a sort of sister rental line through RMIT Village which is where I stayed! The prices are pretty high so make sure it's the right place for you! There's a lot of group bonding and social occasions which I loved about the village! Bonus-it was only located a 15minutes walk from the University or two stops on the tram!

Q-Do I need a job whilst I'm out there?
A-This one all depends on how much money you're going to be spending (I did end up spending way too much). I ended up getting a job for three months as a waitress on Lygon Street as I seemed to run through my money pretty fast! It depends on how much travelling you're going to be doing and how cheap you do it and where you stay. I decided to get cheap flights through Jetstar and TigerAir and I stayed in Hostels everywhere I went.

If you have anymore questions please don't hesitate to ask as I love answering them and making sure you know everything you need to know before going away :)!

Healthy Pancakes ♡

Hi there wanderers! Welcome to my first ever "DIY Cooking" video! The reason I have never done a cooking video before is because, I cannot for the life of me, cook..  I mean yeah I can make a mean Tiramisu and pancakes are hard to mess up and pasta obviously but apart from that I am pretty hopeless.. As you will be able to tell by my failed attempt at making these pancakes! Which is a shame as I come from a family of very talented cooks! My mother has always made us home made food from scratch that was delicious even though at 21 she could not even boil an egg.. So I guess all hope is not lost! My father is also a brilliant cook and never relies on recipe books, everything he cooks he does from memory or from his own combination. It is no wonder he's so good as his mother (my grandmother) is an AMAZING cook! Her food is just amazing and never misses the mark!

Anyway I hope you enjoy :D

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays ♡

Merry Christmas wanderers! I hope you are all having a wonderful day and are enjoying it with your family and loved ones! This is a time for celebration, happiness and peace amongst all folk no matter what background! For Christmas Day I will be having a delightful four course meal on the beaches of Melbourne with my mother and brother! They are currently flying through Dubai as I type this on the night of the 19th and will be here within the next 30 hours I cannot wait!

Have a Happy New Year too, I know that my New Year will be not as awesome as it usually is as I will be making my way back to Belgium so will therefore be sitting on a plane with 100 other random people but at least my brother, mother and father will be with me so not all is lost! As we will be going back in time through three different time zones I imagine we will be celebrating New Year at least three times YAY more drinks and more fun!

Lots of love,

L'Oreal Sunkiss Review ♡

Enjoy and please hit that thumbs up button! :)

Lifestyle Lesson ♡

Hi there wanderers, today's post is going to be a little different! So I recently heard about this company called "Vapelux" who basically create little shisha's that are somewhat healthier than the original version! These e-cigs and e-shisha sticks do not contain nicotine, tar, carbon monoxide or any other toxins which makes them a much better option than real cigarettes! These sticks allow you to smoke them anywhere as they are just vapour and not smoke.

I decided to go for some lovely fruity flavours as I was curious as to what taste I would appreciate the most and as I am quite fussy with 'flavours' I went for a taster of all of them! The ones I chose were the:

&

Each stick lasts around 300 actual 'tokes' which is actually the equivalent of two whole packets of regular cigarettes which makes it a huge bargain! I have really enjoyed these miracle sticks and if you want to try them too head on over to their website and get a 15% discount with the code "TIDTB25" until New Year! Enjoy and happy 'healthy' smoking!

IT'S FINALLY HERE ♡ (slight hiatus)

HELLO! How are we doing wanderers?? I have to say I cannot wait for this day to be over although in saying that I feel like I need extra hours today! Before you all think I have gone mad let me explain what is happening today.. Basically in about eight hours time I will be at the airport waiting for my family to arrive from Belgium! OMG. Now The reason I need more time is because I need to finish packing (we will be making our way to a hotel later on) and cleaning up my room, putting on a washing, having a shower and at some point getting some food in me as it is 5pm and I have yet to stop and actually eat something! I also have a video to film still and edit and upload that. I have two video's currently uploading and I feel very frazzled! Anyway I just wanted to give you a quick update on what is going to be happening now that my parents are here. It does mean that I won't be going online half as much as we will be spending our days out on trips and activities and any free time will be spent eating or sleeping so I have therefore been very good these past three weeks and filmed, edited, uploaded and written all of the upcoming video's and blogposts and have put them on a schedule so that they will pop up online when I want them to without having to be antisocial :D I have about seven blog posts scheduled and five video's coming up to entertain you lot until I am back in Scotland and can get back to normal every day life! I will of course still be active on my Instagram and my Twitter account so you can always find me there!

Big love,

Sarah x

Summer Morning Routine ♡

Hi there wanderers, and welcome to my first official Summer Morning Routine here in Melbourne! Where if you had not guess it is still summer time and just getting hotter and hotter by the day. I decided to veer off doing travel diaries for a while as I felt like everyone I was starting to get bored of them and I can understand why haha. I hope you enjoy my different style in editing and filming and if you do enjoy it please don't forget to subscribe and maybe give it a thumbs up? That would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks :D

Scintillating Sydney♡

Hi there wanderers, this post will be all about my adventures in Sydney last week! I was there for five days and had an absolute blast! I arrived on Sunday very early in the morning (far too early for someone like me!). Myself, Pippa and Alba made our way to our hostel in the CBD (after waiting over an hour for the shuttle to arrive!) and unpacked our belongings. We decided that as it was such  nice day we should walk into town and check out the Aquarium. So we made our way to the harbour and visited a lovely Chinese Garden. We then went to the aquarium and made our way back home as it was absolutely boiling!

The next day was Monday and our day was fully packed as part of a trip we had previously booked. We were up early at 6.30am and went to wait on our luxury bus that would take us to the Reptile Park where we saw Koala's and Kangaroo's! My favourite animals :D Then we went on to the Dolphin Cruise which was amazing as I have never seen so many dolphins up close before! The last trip of the day was sand boarding which again was so much fun as I have never done anything like that before! Luckily, we managed to finish sand boarding before the heavens opened and out came the rain and thunder!

Tuesday was another early morning start! This time at 7am as we were going to the Blue Mountains and doing a whole intense day of hiking! Something I was not made aware of and therefore did not bring the right shoes with me.. We had a two hour hike downwards towards the fountain (which I did not find amazing enough to have walked that much for!), all the while bear in mind I am wearing completely the wrong shoes and am not exactly your typical hiking kind of person haha! We were then told it would be another two hour hike back but this time walking UP which is absolute torture for me! We had to climb these incredibly steep stairs that were at a 70 degree angle and were spaced quite far apart which was terrifying as one slip and you were a goner over the edge.. It was pretty scary and I was shattered! After that it was another 45 minutes walk to the steepest railway in the world and a lovely two minute journey in the train to take us back to the start of the mountain!

Wednesday we had nothing planned so woke up around 11am and decided to go be tourists for the day and visit Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. Unfortunately, it was not a very sunny day so we didn't get the best chances to get some good photo's! We did the best we could and still enjoyed our day out. We then walked through the botanical gardens and made our way back to the hostel (not before stopping off at Starbucks and a Froyo place along the way). We decided we deserved a night out and really needed a drink so we went and bought some Passion Pop and had pre drinks in our room. We then went out to a club close by at the harbour called Home where the view was amazing! It was high up and had three giant rooms with different music in them. There were huge windows all around so you could see the view and we had a really great night! We met two awesome guys called Nick and Will who were lovely enough to take us for drunk munchies at Hungry Jacks haha. We then made our way back home around 5.30am and got a good nights rest.

As Thursday was our last day we had to be up and out of the room by 10am (fun after having gone to bed at 5.30am) so we made our way downstairs still hungover and chilled in the lobby until the BBQ and Bondi trip was happening at 12pm. We were then taken onto a Base Bus (where more alcohol was provided! Goon, of course) and we made our way to the beach for some BBQ. We then walked to Bondi Beach and chilled there until 5pm. When we were back at the hostel we went and had dinner at the Scary Canary for $10 and went to get our train to catch our flight at the airport. We arrived back at the Village in Melbourne at 1am and went straight to bed!

Wandering the Whitsunday's ♡

Hi there wanderers, I am currently writing this post whilst half finishing some banana bread (yum!) and half packing for my trip to Sydney tomorrow! I am so excited but sad at the same time as it will be my last travelling trip whilst here in Australia :( I leave this beautiful Island in 39 days and I want the days to go by slower and slower :(

This post will be about my week at Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday's - which was absolutely amazing and if I could only travel to one more place before I die it would be to go back there and make the most of it! You will understand my fascination for Airlie Beach when you see the photo's ;)

We (myself and Lucy) arrived on Tuesday the 11th of November and made our two hour journey by bus travel to our accommodation at Airlie Nomads Backpackers (brilliant place I highly recommend it!)

Once we had unpacked in our eight bedroom ensuite room we decided to go have a wander and see what Airlie Beach had to offer! We grabbed some lunch and found this beautiful swimming pool lagoon area so we decided to get changed and hang out at the lagoon for the rest of the day :) That night, since we still didn't have any roommates we decided to go hang out at the backpacker's local bar - Shed. We had way too many goon jugs but had a nice time catching up!

The next day was Wednesday and we finally had roommates! They were called Maike, Daylan, Kim, Pascal, Oli and Marius and were from the USA, Germany and Switzerland. They were all really lovely and it was sad to have to say goodbye on our last day :/ However on Wednesday me and Lucy went and grabbed some healthy salads for lunch then went and hung out all day at the lagoon again because how beautiful is it? That night we all hung out at Shed and myself, Pascal, Marius and Oli decided to go out to a club called Phoenix and see what the night life was like! I stayed until about 2am but decided I wanted to head home whilst the guys stayed out until around 5am!

Thursday, me and Lucy had booked an Ocean Rafting trip that was so completely amazing! We went on this really fast speedboat and saw loads of islands and even snorkelled for an hour! Then we had our bush walk at the national park and we got to relax on the Whitehaven beach for a couple of hours before heading back to shore.

Friday was Lucy's skydiving date! She went off at 9am whilst I had a lovely sleep in as the night before myself, Lucy, Maike, Daylan and Kim decided to have a girls night out! We stayed out until about 3am and went to Mama Africa's (it was Throwback Thursday and so much fun!) and a couple of pubs along the way! We even stopped for some karaoke at Beaches Bar. We ended the night at Paddy's and made out way back to bed. Therefore, Friday was a day of once again resting on the lagoon and we decided to have a bit of a cheat day and have some Domino's for dinner! That night we went out to Magnum's to meet a Canadian friend, Andrew, and we found out there was a club inside the bar! Which we had not realised until then so we made the most of it :)

Saturday was our last full day in Airlie Beach :( Me and Lucy booked a scenic flight over all the islands in the Great Barrier Reef that was an hour long and it was absolutely beautiful! Lucy was the co-pilot and I sat behind the pilot and managed to take some great photo's and video's.

Heart Island! ♡

When we got back around 2pm we decided to have some quick lunch and once again (you guessed it!) go hang out at the Lagoon Pool with Maike. That night we decided to have a quiet night (or so we thought) as we were leaving at 5am the next day for our early morning flight. We ended up going to Shed and making our way to Magnum's (where they had a wet t-shirt contest.. Not sure how I feel about those as this was my first one ever) and hanging out with some friends before calling it a night around 3am and headed to bed. Waking up a couple of hours later was not fun whatsoever.. I really enjoyed my time in Airlie Beach and cannot wait until the day I go back! :)

Hope you enjoyed my rather long post and that it gave you some travelling tips!
